In our group we discussed about Sita crossing the line.
Does she do this out of stupidity?
Or because she knows she will be abducted and she is longing for it?
Or isn't it just normal that people act strange under pressure?
Our conclusion was that Sita should still take her own decision
although the men told her to stay inside.
Sita should do what she thinks is right.

If we start the discourse "But Sita didn't obey Rama" then we get into the same discourse
of sexual violence saying "But you wore teasing clothes, so its your fault when you get molested"

Bottom line: If we today interpret Sita as this dependent person we disrespect four centuries of humanist thinking.
